I am of an age where plenty of life has happened. If you look at the list of major life stresses I have the T-shirt. Divorce, losing parents, moving jobs, moving house, single parenthood, empty nest, I’ve faced them all.
So what I don’t understand is why the public sector cuts and my own request for voluntary redundancy are so disturbing.

How are you dealing with the cuts?

Nobody mentioned what retirement would be like!
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to find that after the initial shock ,I  have  enjoyed every minute of it.

I wouldn`t want you to think that it didn`t take sometime to adjust
